How Raw Honey can be Used

It appears from traditional practices that the use of raw honey on its own and when use in combination with cinnamon powder can assist in the treatment of certain conditions.

Safe to use – Raw honey is considered safe when taken by mouth in normal food amounts or recommended dosages except when medically advised not to take it.

Honey should however not be given to children under 24 months of age since honey can contains bacteria which can germinate in a baby’s gut and causes infant botulism, a rare but potentially fatal illness. Raw honey is however not a danger to other older children or adults, including pregnant women and moms who are breastfeeding as they do have the stomach acidity to kill the germs should they eat contaminated honey, there appears therefore no risk the botulism germs will be passed to their baby in their breast milk.

When and how to use raw honey in a normal diet – For ordinary use people may drink 25 grams to 50 grams of raw honey with warm water (for example when you have tea or coffee). During your breakfast, you can also cover a slice of bread with it or add some raw honey into your milk or put it over your cereal or may use it as a food sweetener when cooking.

Raw honey used topically may help quicken recovery time for mild burns, wounds, rashes and abrasions. It is said that raw honey may help to clear urinary tract infections (UTI) due to its antibacterial properties. Used as a shampoo raw honey can cleanse and may restore your hair and scalp.

The antifungal properties in raw honey may also help with digestive issues. Cinnamon sprinkled on two tablespoons of raw honey taken before food is eaten may relieves ACIDITY and assist to digests the heaviest of meals and may also relieve the STOMACH OF GAS.

For WEIGHT LOSS you may drink raw honey and cinnamon boiled in a cup of water daily in the morning before breakfast and on an empty stomach and at night before sleeping. When taken regularly it may reduces the weight of the most obese person as it traditionally appears not allow fat to accumulate in the body even though a person may eat a high calorie diet.

Make a paste of raw honey and cinnamon powder and put it on toast instead of the jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It appears to REDUCES CHOLESTEROL and may potentially save one from heart attack and may also assist with recovery after an attack, strengthens the heartbeat and revitalise the arteries and veins. (Two tablespoons of raw honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed into one cup of tea water taken at least twice a day was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood).

People with ARTHIRITIS appear to benefit when taking one cup of hot water with two tablespoons of raw honey and cinnamon powder daily. For BLADDER INFECTION two tablespoons of cinnamon powder can be taken with one teaspoon of raw honey in a glass of lukewarm water as it appears to destroy the germs in the bladder.

Raw honey contains a natural “ingredient” which kills INFLUENZA germs and those suffering from common or severe COLDS may take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with a quarter spoon of cinnamon powder. This process appears to cure most chronic COUGH and clear the SINUSES while it is delicious too!

When the THROAT has a tickle or is raspy, sipping a tablespoon of raw honey may also assist in recovery and the soothing of a sore throat.

Traditionally it is believe that the daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens THE IMMUNE SYSTEM and may protects the body from bacterial and viral attacks. The constant use of honey appears to strengthen the white blood corpuscles (where the DNA is contained) to fight bacterial and viral diseases.
